Dr. Chen’s group focus on the artificial intelligence applications and intelligent image analytics for smart cars, internet-of-things (IOT) and industrial 4.0. Recently, Dr. Chen investigated the research projects including for developing key techniques of cyber-physical systems (CPS), internet-of-things (IoT), and autonomous cars. His group also closely cooperate with the major industries including TECO Inc., Gigabye Inc., HAITEC Inc., Chroma ATE Inc. |

BIOGRAPHY |

Yen-Lin Chen received the B.S. and Ph.D. degree in electrical and control engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2000 and 2006, respectively. From Feb. 2007 to Jul. 2009, he was an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Asia University, Taichung, Taiwan. From Aug. 2009 to Jan. 2012, he was an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, and from Feb. 2012 to Jul. 2015, was an Associate Professor in the same institute; and since Aug. 2015, he is now a full Professor in the same institute. |

ACTIVITIES & AWARDS |
|
In 2011, and 2012, Dr. Chen earned the best annual paper award sponsored by the Intelligent Transportation Society of Taiwan. Dr. Chen also earned the Silver Invention Award from Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan in the same year. His research performance was also recognized as the Annual Excellent Research Award, and Dr. Shechtman Young Research Award from National Taipei University of Technology in 2013, and 2014. His academic-industrial cooperation results also received Excellent Academic-Industrial Cooperation Awards from Ministry of Science and Technology in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016 (four times). Dr. Chen is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a member of ACM, IAPR, and IEICE. |
